S. Bradley Stoner was raised and educated in Denver, Colorado, and graduated from the University of Colorado (Boulder) with a degree in environmental biology. Since then, he has pursued various interests, including travel and independent study of the wilderness world and its creatures, especially in the field of predator-prey relationships. While working primarily as an environmental consultant, he has written professionally since 1973.
His writing draws on the ample fodder of his interests, experience and fatherhood. His interests are wide-ranging and include all of the sciences, history, and literature. He has traveled extensively in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico and spent a great deal of time in the wilderness of North America.
